Noam Baby Care Creche Upgrading

Project Description: Together with the support of CWD, Ikhayalami worked to improve the conditions at Noma creche with the aim of creating a more safe, healthy, and happy environment for the children. Our construction team created a verandah outside the classroom for children to play on. They also fixed windows in the creche, installed a new ceiling, and tiled the toilet floors.
- Goals:
- Partner with CWD to improve a creche in Samora Machel Informal Settlement
- Provide a place of safety, health, and learning for the vulnerable and disadvantaged children at Noma
- Continue our project of upgrading as many creches in informal settlements in Cape Town as possible
- Impact:
- Created a place of safety for vulnerable children in Samora Machel Informal Settlement
- Enhanced and improved the standard of health for all the children attending the creche
